Highway Lunch Preview!

We're getting ready for the Highway launch next week. Patty Thomas, our in house artist extraordinaire has prepared a backdrop on four 8'x4' panels (above). She is recreating the header photo that we are using for our blog and website(below). This is the theme that will run through the youth ministry.

This is the second commissioned piece she has done for the youth ministry. The other was for my office remodel. She has done many other works that grace the church building and outlined animals on the wall for Mason's jungle room.

I am thankful for those with this amazing gift and for the way they continue to bless the ministries of which I have been a part.

In Frederick I was blessed to have Sonja work on the teen room project. She did a piece that captured so much more than I imagined (although I can't find a snap-shot of it). I don't know if I could ever go back to doing ministry without people around me who are capable of inspiring teens through the expression of art.

I can't help but mention Scott Meyer in this little post because he did a photo shoot of my kids that you couldn't put a price tag on. It now hangs right next to my desk. It is my favorite wall.

To Patty, Scott, Sonja, and Jennifer, thank you for being such a blessing in my life and the lives of teens.

Looks like you found a great remedy to the low resolution poster. By the way what are you serving at the Highway Lunch?
