The night before Easter we walk through the last hours of Jesus life with the Resurrection Eggs. After the kids tell the story of the triumphal entry through the resurrection we wrap a doll and bury it in a pretend tomb. At night we remove the doll from the cloth so that the kids wake to an empty tomb on Easter morning. I would never have thought of these little traditions myself, but I am so thankful for the way they have centered the Easter celebration on the risen Christ. And Emma and Mason absolutely love it.

That's great - we did your empty tomb idea with MAL this year, and he was really into it. He wanted to go out this morning and check the tomb again, which I guess is always a good idea.
So sweet!
great pics. love the family
That is a great idea; we'll have to do that when Jude is older. Thank you to Heidi for letting us know about the eggstravaganza video! Jude dug it.
